Triumph: “Going after important measurement challenges – like making the first real-time measurement of chemical messenger secretion from individual blood platelets.”

Hopes: “Continue to challenge myself and my graduate students by working in collaborative, transdisciplinary teams to solve big problems – like creating safe nanomaterials or designing an effective nanotherapeutic platform.”

Prediction: “Among research scientists: real-time, high spatial resolution in situ chemical analysis of nanoparticles in complex matrices.”

Advice: “Work with people who challenge you and love science, and be gracious in sharing credit with them. Focus on solving scientific problems that you care deeply about and where you can make unique contributions.”
