  • Profile

Meet Isiah M. Warner

Motivation
I enjoy helping people achieve their goals and find their path in life.

What makes a good mentor?
Someone who genuinely enjoys helping people.

Nominator comment: “Isiah is one of the top recognized mentors in the US. The LSU graduate program in chemistry is the nation’s largest producer of African-American PhDs in chemistry, largely due to the efforts of Isiah in encouraging and mentoring these students. His outstanding mentoring achievements have been recognized by his receipt of a Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring in 1998, the 2000 AAAS Mentor Award for Lifetime Achievement, the 2003 ACS Award for Encouraging Disadvantaged Students into Careers in the Chemical Sciences, and the 2003 CCR Diversity Award. He is also an internationally recognized researcher in analytical chemistry, recently receiving the ACS Award in Analytical Chemistry and serving as Chair of the ACS Division of Analytical Chemistry.”
